Mothers Day

I had a really nice Mothers Day, considering I was drugged up and "out of it" for most of the day due to my recent sinus surgery. My family brought me breakfast in bed - at 1:00 in the afternoon, when I finally woke up. It was nice! My kids had all made me cards and home made presents which are always so much fun! James got me a new sewing machine. One that actually does more than sew a straight line. Yea! (That was the only stitch that worked on my old one.) And I also got a dozen yellow roses. I don't know why I don't have a picture of them. I will have to go take one. Hmmmm.. Anyway, James took care of the kids all day so I could rest and relax. It was nice. And I'm sure it was hard for him since he doesn't do that very often. What a good guy. :) Austin drew this gorgeous flower for me and gave it to me later. I think he was sleeping when the others brought me my 1:00 feast. But it is really good, I think. And it means even more that he wrote "I love you Mom" on it. Any of you who has had, or currently has a teenager knows, those are rarely spoken, precious words! I love it! I actually scanned his flower and electronically "colored" it to see what it would look like, and I like his version better. He's the artist!

Happy Mothers Day to all of you wonderful Moms!

I agree, his is better. I wouldn't tamper with someone's artistic creation, especially one that awesome.
